Sykkylven is world known for its many furniture factories and a great part of the inhabitants live from making furniture for customers throughout the world. The most known are Ekornes and Hjellegjerde, Brunstad, Formfin and L.K. Hjelle, but there is also a niche factory: Cylindra.

How to get there:
From the south: take the main road Rv 60 from Stryn, Hellesylt, Stranda to Sykkylven and look for the road sign Møbelmuseum.
From the north: from Ålesund and Moa to Magerholm, the ferry to Ørsneset and three more km on the Riksveg 60 to the village of Aure. Look for Storgata and the sign Møbelmuseum.
