If you are interested in glacier walking, the area can offer beautiful glaciers like the Regndalsbreeen and Gullmorbreen. Both Geiranger, Hjørundfjorden and the towns Ørsta and Volda are situated a short distance from the many glaciers of Nordfjord.

Nature's own larder lies waiting for you when you are walking and hiking in the mountains, with free access to both mushrooms and berries. Rivers and mountain lakes offer good fishing opportunities, in addition to intensifying the natural experience by sounds, scents and visual impressions. Please note that several locations require purchasing of a fishing licence. If you do not want to walk alone in the mountains, you can join in on organized trips with local well-experienced guides.
